GRAVEL ROAD FIDDLERS
The ODRMC Fiddling Group, now known as the GRAVEL ROAD FIDDLERS, started following a session of fiddling lessons given in the winter of 2010-11 by JJ Lavallee for children and youths through a grant from Heritage Canada. In his spare time JJ taught a few adults some fiddle basics.
Some of the adults and students continued to meet and practice together after the lessons ended. Then Bob Didier, a Maritime fiddler volunteered to help out with instruction and introduced the group to new tunes. Unfortunately, he had to return to New Brunswick.
If you are interested in joining the group either as a beginner or instructor, child, youth or adult, we would be happy to have you. We’ll try to share what we’ve learned.
